Turkey and Egypt, line by line

Door-to-resort times assume a departure from Kyiv routed through Chisinau, Warsaw, Bucharest or Istanbul, and include the coach transfer. Figures are indicative and shift by operator and season.

What matters Turkey: Antalya, Belek, Side Egypt: Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh
Door-to-resort time 6 to 9 hours total, plus a 45 to 60 minute coach transfer to Belek or Side. 8 to 11 hours total, plus a 25 to 45 minute coach transfer from Hurghada airport.
Visa for Ukrainian passports Visa free, up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Visa on arrival, around USD 25, or a free Sinai-only stamp for Sharm resorts.
Sea entry Often pebble or firm sand. Water shoes help children under 7. Sandy shelf, then a quick drop. Coral close to shore, so reef shoes are useful.
Water parks within 30 minutes Very dense. Several large parks sit close to Belek and Side. Fewer. Most are inside resort complexes, so check before booking.
Kids club grouping Often split into 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 bands with separate rooms. Often one 4 to 12 group. Ask about staff ratios and indoor space.
Walking intensity Flat promenades and shaded paths. Short hops in Belek, longer in Side. Long resort walkways with less shade. Plan water breaks.
Best months for families Mid-May to late June, and September to early October. March to April, and October to November, with warm Red Sea water.
July and August heat 34 to 38 C and humid. Book morning pool time and shaded cabanas. 36 to 40 C, dry with wind. Mornings and evenings are the usable hours.
Indicative budget band Value to mid for all-inclusive, premium for Belek golf resorts. Value to mid in Hurghada, premium in Sharm and Marsa Alam.

Sea entry. Turkey's Antalya coast is often pebble or firm sand, so water shoes make the first metres easier for children under 7. Egypt's Red Sea shelf is sandy and then drops quickly, with coral close to shore.

Shade. Belek and Side have mature pine and palm cover. Hurghada resorts lean on parasols, so a midday indoor break matters more in July and August.

Kids clubs. Ask about age grouping, staff ratios, indoor space and water supervision before you book in either country.

Budget bands mean value, mid and premium. Prices, transfer times and availability can change, and terms apply. For area detail, read the region guides and the planning notes.

Which resort area fits which child age

What price bands and booking terms actually cover

The region comparison table shows shape and trade-offs, not live quotes. Read these four notes before you pay a deposit.

  • Price bands are indicative only

Value, mid and premium bands are per person for a seven-night family week with transfers and one child place included. Flights from Chisinau, Warsaw, Bucharest or Istanbul are priced separately and shift week to week. Availability and the terms in force at booking apply, and prices can change after you request a quote.

  • Cancellation windows differ by hotel

Turkish resort contracts usually allow free cancellation 21 to 30 days before arrival. Egyptian contracts often ask for a 25 percent deposit, with changes free up to 45 days out. Kids club places and connecting rooms are held for you, not guaranteed, until the final payment clears.

  • Licences and registration

Agencies selling Turkey must hold a TURSAB licence, and Egyptian operators must be registered with the Ministry of Tourism. Ask for the registration number before any payment. glowpathagency.com is a registered PE in Kyiv, EDRPOU 39827320, and books through licensed local partners only.

  • Heat, health and entry rules

July and August push both coasts past 34°C, so keep midday hours shaded and treat water park days as morning outings. Aim for six months of passport validity and confirm visa and entry requirements with the embassy, since rules for both countries can change at short notice.
